Sanju Samson Runs Out Liam Livingstone

Sanju Samson came up with some extraordinary glove work to edge out Liam Livingstone in the ongoing game between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh.

The England star hit 21 runs off 14 balls with the help of two fours and a six. With over two overs remaining, RR needed the wicket of Liam Livingstone to prevent PBKS from finishing strongly and their captain delivered at a crucial time.

On the fifth ball of the 18th over, Yuzvendra Chahal bowled a bowled delivery to Ashutosh Sharma. The right-handed batsman fired towards mid-wicket and the batsmen set off on a run. Liam Livingstone also wanted to do a second career, but his partner rejected him.

However, before he could safely return to the box, Sanju Samson collected the ball and removed the balls in a remarkable manner. It was a flat shot towards his left side and Sanju Samson did well to collect the ball before bending down to flick it into the stumps.

Talking about the ongoing game, PBKS were 146 for 7 in the last over of the innings at the time of writing this report. The Punjab-based team is looking for its third win tonight.

Sanju Samson impresses with his bat:

Sanju Samson has impressed with the bat in IPL 2024 so far. The right-handed batsman has been one of the leading run-scorers in the competition so far. In five matches he has so far scored three half-centuries.

The RR captain started his campaign with an unbeaten 82 against Lucknow Super Giants. Two poor outings followed as he scored 15 and 12 before recovering in style. In the fourth game, Sanju Samson scored 69 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru before scoring an unbeaten 68 against Gujarat Titans.

The Kerala star is vying for a place in India’s T20 World Cup squad and hopes to continue impressing with the bat. A good outing in IPL 2024 could well see him find a place in the team for the showpiece event, scheduled for June this year.
