Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru and India captain Virat Kohli has once again courted controversy after a latest video went viral on the internet.
In the video, Kohli is seen denying an autograph to a young fan, leaving the latter in tears. The move has divided the Internet over whether what he did was right or not.
Kohli and RCB were part of a crushing 9-wicket win over Delhi Capitals on Monday night.
Virat Kohli ignores the little boy and walks away.
In the video, Kohli can be seen arriving at the team hotel with a child eagerly waiting for him. As the boy rushed to greet Kohli, the security pushed him and eventually denied him the autograph.
Most have criticized Kohli for “destroying the boy’s dream” and “acting arrogantly”. Many others, however, have defended him by saying that he is not obliged to attend to each and every request that comes to him.
The young fan was visibly frustrated and reacted by throwing his bat to the ground. This also left the internet divided, as many people criticized the “entitlement” shown.

Virat Kohli achieves significant milestone against Delhi Capitals
During RCB’s crushing win against Delhi Capitals on Monday, Kohli achieved a milestone that no other player has achieved in the history of the IPL.
RCB won the toss and elected to bowl in New Delhi. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood took three wickets each in the powerplay to leave Delhi 8/6 at one point.
Abhishek Porel withstood the attack but could not prevent Delhi from being bowled out for just 75.
RCB chased down the target in just 6.3 overs and won by 81 balls to spare. Kohli made an unbeaten 23 during which he became the first batsman to make 9,000 runs in IPL history.
Kohli was also the first batsman to make 4,000, 6,000, 7,000 and 8,000 runs in IPL history. With 351 runs and a strike rate of 163 in 8 matches, Kohli is the fourth highest run-scorer in IPL 2026.

RCB upcoming matches IPL 2026
RCB will next face Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on April 30. The two teams have met once before, on April 24 in Bengaluru.
In that match, a brilliant century by Sai Sudharsan went in vain as Virat Kohli hit back with 81 in a successful chase of 206. Kohli was awarded the Player of the Match award for his brilliant innings.
RCB now have 6 wins in 8 matches, and the win over DC has given them the best net run rate in the league. All this has made RCB’s progress towards the playoffs much easier.
