In recent times, MS Dhoni’s status as a legendary cricketer has grown even more among the next generation of youngsters. The future stars of the Indian team were delighted to meet the legendary captain, and one such incident occurred with Yash Dhull.
He revealed that he met MS Dhoni for the first time during a match at Chepauk, and called them to the dressing room, where they clicked photos and stated that it was a big motivation for him when Dhoni revealed that the legend knew him by name.

Who is Yash Dhull? India’s World Cup-winning captain
Yash Dhull is a 23-year-old young cricketer who hails from the state of Delhi and stars in domestic cricket. He made his domestic debut in first-class cricket for Delhi on the sidelines of the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy.
After scoring two centuries in his first season, he was named captain of the ICC under-19 men’s cricket team. He also captained the Indian youth team that won the ACC Men’s U-19 Asia Cup title in 2021.
The captain then played an impressive hand with the bat and led the Indian team to a victory in the ICC Under-19 Men’s World Cup in 2022. He then made his List A debut for Delhi in 2022 and has also represented India A on several occasions.
Yash Dayal made his IPL debut?
Yash Dayal played for the India A team in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup and also scored a century in that league. He then made his IPL debut for the Delhi Capitals in 2023, where he played several matches.
Dhull played his only four matches in the IPL in 2023 and could only score 16 runs, with the highest score being 13. However, it was during this period that he met the great MS Dhoni. In his career, he has amassed 2777 runs in domestic red-ball cricket, while he has also amassed 611 runs in List A cricket and 1087 runs in the shortest format of the game.
