For Rajasthan Royals, Avesh Khan was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of three for 27. Trent Boult also picked three wickets, while Sandeep Sharam bagged two scalps.

In the chase, Yashasvi Jaiswal (42) led Rajasthan to a brutal start even though Tom Kohler-Cadmore (10) struggled to get going at the other end of the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

But after Jaiswal’s wicket, nothing went in their favor as they kept losing wickets in quick succession of time. Captain Sanju Samson (10) also died early when the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers were all over the batsmen.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel (56) kept his team in the hunt with his brave half-century as Hyderabad restricted the opposition to 139/7 to win the game by 36 runs and advance to the final of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Shahbaz Ahmed and Abhishek Sharma combined to pick 5 wickets.
